budowa praskiego zamku rozpoczela sie w roku 880 przez ksiecia borivoja. zamek jest najwiekszym powierzchniowo na swiecie! ponadto zostal wpisany na liste dziedzictwa UNESCO, w chwili obecnej jest siedziba czeskiego parlamentu. teren zamku otwarty jest od godz 5.00 do 24.00. wejsciowki w calej gamie cenowej, w roznych opcjach zwiedzania (pojedyncze, laczone, krotsze i dluzsze opcje zwiedzania itd).

na terenie zamku znajduje sie wiele atrakcji, pomnikow, palacow, kosciolow itd, nie wszystkie warto zwiedzac moim zdaniem, niektore obiekty wystarczy zobaczyc z zewnatrz, gdyz np sale w srodku sa puste

in 880 prince borivoj started building this massive site. this is the largest coherent castle complex in the world. nowadays the buildings are a czech parlament side. there are various options regarding admission tickets, in various prices -single site admission tickets, multi-site tickets etc.

the castle complex offers many attractions -monuments, churches, palaces. some of them are not worth visiting inside (halls are empty, no furnishings, just walls), especially as the prices are pretty high (and not a single attraction is free) even to walk the golden lane you have to pay.

LAVKA

by 'lavka' I mean a view terrace of the 'lavka' restaurant (next to b.smetana museum) just off charles bridge. from here you can see the bridge, of course, and behind it the castle with high towers of st vita's cathedral.

PETRINY

VYSEHRAD

mysle ze jest to dzielnica zaniedbywana przez turystow, zdecydowanie mniej jest ich tutaj niz na starym miescie. dlatego tez mozna tu nieco odpoczas, zaczerpnac powietrza i nacieszyc sie zielenia. zaraz po wyjsciu ze stacju metra (stacja vysehrad) znajdziecie sie na terasie widokowym. stad rozciaga sie morze domow i dachow i wiez praskich. jesli pojdziecie nieco dalej (za oznaczeniami na kosciol vysehrad, ktory zbudowany jest na urwisku) traficie na kolejne terasy widokowe, tym razem na poludniowe dzielnice pragi oraz na petriny i dalej na zamek

i think that this area is undervalued by tourists, maybe because it's not very central. if you decide to visit vysehrad you will have a chance for some quieter scenery, fresh air and green areas. just after leaving vysehrad metro station you will find yourselves on the viewpoint terrace- a sea of red roofs and towers of prague. it is also worth to follow signposts to vysehrad church, to find yourselves on other terraces, looking at prague's most southern areas as well as petriny and the castle
